Market Your Creativity

creativity-definitionsBetween our blogs and newsletter, we reach over 15,000 artists monthly which is a lot of creative people who potentially would be interested in the topic “Market Your Creativity.”

There are a series of three questions you can ask yourself in order to market your creativity. These questions can be found below. For many of you this is not new information but it is good to affirm it nonetheless.

1. Who are you trying to reach?
2. Where can you find them?
3. How are you going to reach them?

A current project of ours gives a good example of this process. As some of you know we are currently writing an eBook entitled “Web Marketing Strategy for Introvert Artists” aimed at introvert actors, musicians, filmmakers, writers and so forth.

Although our blogs/newsletter reach is creatives and those in creative fields (a great start), we are not necessarily reaching artists who are also introverts so we’ve had to narrow down our search strategy.

This is one of the reasons we created Artist Introvert Revolution or A.I.R. Since the organization is growing every day, it is an honor to be a part of an evolving entity with which we can share.

It is unusual to have a group dedicated to introvert artists because introverts don’t usually like being a part of a group. Why? The reason is because it usually means eventually having to socialize.

Artist Introvert Revolution is different. When you’re a member of this collective you have knowledge that others are involved too but you don’t necessarily have to communicate with them unless you want to.

As you can see sharing and communicating with introvert artists is not easy, but we are making progress in part because we are introvert artists as well as asking ourselves the three questions.

So we leave you with the questions “who are you trying to reach?” “Where can you find them?” Plus “How are you going to reach them?”

And introvert artists, if you’re interested in joining A.I.R. you know what to do!

Artist Introvert Revolution

introvert-artist-revolutionWhat is the Artist Introvert Revolution or A.I.R.? It is an informal collective of introverted artists who believe that because of the evolution of technology that the time has come for the mantle to be passed from the extroverts to the introverts in the arts. It’s also a group that follows the Lights Camera Read mission which is to go from being an introvert “Starving Artist” to an introvert “Artist Entrepreneur.”

Notice the above mission goes from introvert to introvert and not extrovert. This is because introverts are just fine with being introverts despite extroverts sometimes trying to change them. In the past introversion has for artists limited their opportunities for creative growth and profits. No longer.

Technology has opened up a whole new world which is why John Yianni Stamas (a self proclaimed introvert who is raising an 8 year old daughter who appears to be an extrovert) is currently writing a book entitled “Web Marketing for Introvert Artists.” No social media is required to use the methodology in this book and it reveals the ultimate strategy for using online resources to profit while simultaneously promoting your creative career.

Of course there are a lot of famous people who are self proclaimed introverts who have all figured out ways to cope with extroverts and become successful desptite being introvert artists. These folks include Salma Hayek, Jessica Simpson, Johnny Depp, Jessica Alba, Nicole Kidman, Britney Spears, Keira Knightley, Lady GaGa Courtney Cox, Beyoncé and even – believe it or not – Kim Kardashian.

To try to uncover the method of how these people became successful despite being introverts would require looking at each one individually. Thankfully with the onslaught of technology there now are opportunities for introvert artists of all kinds – actors, filmmakers, musicians, writers and more – to come out of the ivory tower and into the control tower.

Needless to say it helps to have a little bit of acumen for technology which makes navigating the Artist Introver Revolution system easier.

Hello everyone.

Thank you for the overwhelming response to our question last week “What would you like to see more of?” It seems to have been a fairly balanced response. There were people in each category including Artist Internet Marketing (AIM), Platinum Pias, Art Gush and “Thrillumentary.” Also, we even had some unique suggestions of things we never thought of before.

But an important question that came out of all of this was: how do all these things connect? The point of focus is that all the entities here have to do with going from being a “starving artist” to an artist entrepreneur which is the mission of Lights Camera Read (the producing organization). All these programs are merely activities following the overall mission.
